I just found a letter my mom wrote me in 1987. I must have moved back to NYC and was looking for a job. In the letter she writes,
"Hang in there, I know how discouraging it is but there will be a good job sooner or later - don't get discouraged and don't lose confidence in yourself- It's being at the right place at the right time and it will happen. Think positive. I have to keep telling myself all these things too."
What a wonderful mother she continues to be.
